be judged this year by the sensational singer/songwriter, Paloma Faith.
Paloma has taken the music world by storm
this year releasing her debut album “Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful?” With the release of her first
single ‘Stone Cold Sober’ being brought forward a month early after UK radio leapt on it with such enthusiasm,

So, if you are a singer/songwriter looking to emulate Paloma and
make a career out of your talent, why not take part in this year’s award competition? First prize is a unique opportunity

New Community Wix Arena Calls for Musicians
NEW YORK, NY -- Wix is a fast growing start up that specializes in Flash website creation and promotion.
The company was launched in 2006 and has since introduced cutting edge technology in the field and has also evolved and grown
into a community. In the next few weeks, the Wix will be introducing a new Arena.
The new Arena will be an expansion
of the current designer directory but will also include individual directory categories for copywriters, SEO strategists and
musicians. The Arena's objective will be to serve as a fertile meeting ground for providers and consumers. The Arena's
interface will merge different aspects of web design, including the traditional designer directory in addition to web creation,
online marketing and promotion, and other professional services relating to website building.
Presently, musicians
are at the center of Wix's new plans for the directory. Wix is inviting musicians to donate a few tracks of their own
to the Wix collection. This collection will be available to any Wix user who is building a free website. Musicians who donate
free tracks to this initiative will become part of the professional directory. Wix users interested in using original music
for their website will be invited to fill out a form describing the style and sound they are looking for as well as any other
relevant details. This job order will be automatically transferred to the professionals registered in the Musician directory
who will then be able to send the user a proposal and quotation. The same model will be implemented for the SEO strategist,
copywriter and marketing directories.
Musicians who are interested in joining this professional Musician directory
can send examples of their music to Arik Sternberg at Wix. The tracks they send should be tracks they are willing to donate to the Wix collection. Samples should be presented
by using the Wix website builder and creating a website or widget with which to showcase their music. Any other information
they wish to share should also be included in this website and its URL should be sent via email to Mr. Sternberg.
Collaborations between different types of professionals are not new to Wix. Barbara Burton and Elena Haley are just one
example of a successful collaboration. They created a Flash website recently, using Wix and found the perfect soundtrack for
the site in the same place:
"When we went to create our site, Alisa Fedele's site was featured as an example,
we liked her music so much, we contacted her and told her we were using Wix for our site design. She was very excited about
collaborating with us and we are honored to be able to feature one of her songs on our site."
About
Wix
We're passionate people & Wix is our company. We wanted a way to make creating high quality
Flash websites and other web content faster, easier and search engine friendly. At the heart of Wix is our intuitive drag
& drop editor where all the creating happens. All Wix websites are search engine friendly even while they are all build
using Flash interface. A small but growing start-up, we love it when you use Wix to make your own fabulous websites and other
Flash creations.

Ambience Productions is dedicated to promoting creative talent on a global scale. Through our website and contests we showcase
some of this talent and introduce the world to new and emerging artists, photographers and writers.

Girls Rock! Chicago's 2010 Ladies Rock Camp
The 2010 Ladies Rock Camp will be held May 29th-31st at Music Garage. APPLICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE NOW for both sessions
of camp. To apply to camp please complete our online application. Ladies Rock Camp is a fundraiser for Girls Rock! Chicago.
At this intensive weekend-long workshop, women ages 19-99 will follow a program similar to what the girls do at our summer
camp: learn an instrument, form a band, write a song, and perform it - in just three days. If you are one of the many women
who has thought, “I wish Girls Rock! Chicago was around when I was a kid!” this is for YOU. Each applicant will
choose to play guitar, bass, or drums as her main instrument for the weekend. We assign instruments on a first come, first
serve basis, so please provide us with a second choice instrument…NO MUSICAL EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY. You can view
the tentative Ladies Rock Camp Schedule here. Tuition is $400. For each woman who attends Ladies Rock Camp, we are able
to provide a scholarship to one student at Girls Rock! Chicago Summer Camp. We are offering a limited number of Ladyfriend
discounts. To apply, please fill out the starving artist discount portion of this application. If you have any questions about
Ladies Rock camp email: info@girlsrockchicago.org For more information, visit: http://girlsrockchicago.org/ladies-rock/
